Project aims


Cefla has decided to introduce and implement the principles of Lean Thinking providing IT of solutions able to make operational the impact of strategic decisions on business functions, in particular on production and logistics.

Specifically Dental and Finishing divisions must support the information flows with more flexible and simple tools, associated with the processes of receiption of the goods, warehouse management and, especially, new processes based on Lean Manufacturing philosophy, with particular attention to the electronic Kanban management.

 

Why Oracle?


The selection of the Oracle platform has been the result of a software selection process which involved most big player on the international market.

The Solution: benefits and concrete results


GN has implemented GNI Mobile, a platform and applicatoin suite, that interact remotely with ERP Oracle JDE Enterprise one.

The solution allows the use of mobile devices to execute transactions typical of business management. The real time information availability allows a greater consciousness in the work made by the staff employee in production or warehouse.

The electronic Kanban, introduced in buying and ordination processes, production, warehouse has been automated and integrated with ERP system, allowing significant time saving and the elimination of errors. Already in the first four months, the solution developed allowed us to achieve concrete results in terms of efficiency, staff independency and time savings in some cases up to 87%.
